In case you hadn’t heard, celebrity porn lawyer Michael Avenatti, the cable news fixture who was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on charges of fraud, identity theft, and attempted extortion. Avenatti is also the guy who said he was the one who could go head-to-head with President Trump in 2020 and met with a dozen Democratic strategists last October to feel out his chances.
There are plenty of hot takes being revisited Wednesday; The Free Beacon made an excellent compilation video of the media slobbering over Avenatti, the guy CNN’s Brian Stelter had dubbed a master of the media.
But just in case you forgot just how strongly Trump Derangement Syndrome made the liberal media fall for the guy, here’s one more: Republican strategist Ana Navarro comparing Avenatti to the Holy Spirit.

The Media Research Center had written a piece detailing Avenatti’s appearance on “The View” with host Ana Navarro:
“Lately, to me, you’re like the Holy Spirit. You are all places at all times. Right. I mean, I do — I see you all over cable news, I see — there’s a seat available if you want to be a co-host at ‘The View.’ There’s people here you can pitch. He’d be a great lady around the table” Navarro ranted.
“[Avenatti] has a bigger calling here. Being a lawyer is minimal compared to what he’s doing,” Joy Behar said.
Navarro interrupted, “The priesthood?”
Behar continued, “He’s out there saving the country.”

Never forget how hot people were to 1) send this guy money (for Stormy Daniels, for migrant families, for Stacey Abrams’ recount effort, for Beto O’Rourke, for his Fight PAC, etc.) and 2) encourage him to challenge Trump in 2020.
