Hold up now … Hollywood has been threatening to boycott Georgia and pull all of its TV and movie productions out of the state over the heartbeat bill, which would ban abortions after six weeks — Alyssa Milano, Tom Arnold, and around 80 other entertainment industry types all co-signed a letter saying they couldn’t in good conscience “recommend” keeping their productions in Georgia.
Gov. Brian Kemp signed the heartbeat bill into law this week, so now it’s time to see just how many productions pull up stakes and find somewhere else to shoot.

Oh, we get it … they’re still going to shoot their TV show in Georgia, but they’re going to donate the proceeds to fighting to overturn the bill; well, actually, to Stacey Abrams’ group — she’ll probably consider it presidential campaign cash.
Abrams added that his production company Bad Robot and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will donate funds to fight the legislation. “We stand with Stacey Abrams and the hardworking people of Georgia, and will donate 100 percent of our respective episodic fees for this season to two organizations leading the charge against this draconian law: the ACLU of Georgia and Fair Fight Georgia,” he said. “We encourage those who are able to funnel any and all resources to these organizations.”
Um, we thought you were boycotting.

Not good enough–the state still benefits. Sorry guys, but two of the most successful people working in the entertainment business right now can make another location happen. I'm sure there are plenty of places that would work with you to get it done.

Why not boycott Georgia?! Georgia will still benefit from the business locally and statewide. Kind of a backhanded protest

Pull the business from Gilead, charity isn’t sufficient

Meh, they say it because of the public pressure from those bitches, but in reality, they don’t care. They still get the money flowing

Utter bullshit.

It would be better if they discontinued filming the show in Georgia, as other shows' production companies have done. https://t.co/1qf6Dm0IZ1

I hate posers. As long as @jjabrams & @JordanPeele continue to work in Georgia, they are complicit in supporting the obscenity that is #Georgia https://t.co/5ySWufQoVD

Just more men using their money, power and influence to harm lives in a state they don't live in

The Hollywood Reporter sure did quote from a lot of statements from production companies, but time will tell who actually leaves the state. The MPAA, for example, says it is “watching the law closely and waiting on final court outcomes.”
So we have a letter from a bunch of actors who weren’t shooting there and the MPAA watching the law “closely.”
Watch it go into effect from your homes in Hollywood. Bye.
