Beto O'Rourke places third in new poll of 2020 Democratic hopefuls, prepares to light more money on fire

He lost his Senate Texas bid, but we’re pretty certain Beto O’Rourke could be elected president of Hollywood today if there were an election.

He’s said he’s not running in 2020 (he is), and now that the media has given him billions of dollars of airtime and plenty of puff pieces about his sweat, his skateboard, and his undeniable charisma, he’s starting to climb in the polls, now coming in at a distant third behind old white men Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

Paul Bedard reports, “According to the online gambling website BetDSI, O’Rourke is at 5-1 odds, putting him in first place and ahead of Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden.”

First place? Not bad … but a whole lot of people gambled on O’Rourke and lost.
