Travis Air Force Base in Solano County, Calif., was reported to be under lockdown Wednesday afternoon due to a “real world security incident.”
A local news outlet reported earlier in the day that the base would be conducting a two-day security drill, and that residents in the area would hear an increase in notifications and alarms.

However, follow-up reports say this incident was not related to the security drill.

There was enough time during the confusion, though, to squeeze in a few tweets about a mass shooting at the base and the need for gun control.
