Judicial Watch wasn’t as thrilled with the announcement, recalling a number of money-losing “green” gambles by the administration.

Judicial Watch likened the new program to miserable failures like Fisker Automotive, the “fly-by-night electric car company … that shut down after getting an eye-popping $193 million from the government” and Vehicle Production Group, which went under after losing $50 million in taxpayer money.
Someone running the Twitter feed at the Department of Energy today was cranky that Judicial Watch mentioned Fisker but not success story Tesla.
Wait, it failed? OK, I'll call Tesla and say they didn't repay loan 5 yrs early. Or Ford that the F-150 sux. Please. https://t.co/AHMqvG9Sl8

The Tesla is a success in China, prompting CEO Elon Musk to dedicate himself to finding a manufacturing partner and a location for a Chinese factory by mid-2016.
@JudicialWatch Elon Musk wants Tesla factory in China. Will Obama spend our tax $ to finance this green project?
