Bombshell: CNN reports that Pope Francis, off out of respect for Yom Kippur, is not Jewish

Pope Francis’ arrival on American soil Tuesday was one of those rare historical moments that was covered by every broadcast network and cable news channel available. Tonight, though, all is quiet on that front as the Pope has no events scheduled.

The Pope didn't schedule an event this evening in honor of the eve of the important Jewish Holiday, Yom Kippur according to CNN.

He might be taking the night off out of respect for Yom Kippur, but CNN clarified that the Pope himself is not Jewish.

CNN reporter just explained that while Pope Francis isn't making any appearances tonight out of respect for Yom Kippur, he is not Jewish.
