The Clarion-Ledger reports that the two officers, who have not been named, were on a routine traffic stop near East Fourth and Bouie streets around 8 p.m. when they were shot. The two officers were confirmed dead at Forrest General Hospital.
Curtis and Marvin Banks have been named as suspects.
