Rep. Hakeem Jeffries brought the “hands up, don’t shoot” pose to the House floor, though it still pales in comparison to Rep. Bobby Rush’s donning of a gray hoodie to protest the shooting of Trayvon Martin.

Former OFA and Capitol Hill staffer Keidra King live-tweeted some of the other statements made from the House floor.

In one move that was more than symbolic, the CBC did express its support for body cameras for police.
