Finally! Thank U @PattyMurray & @HillaryClinton 4 the work u began yrs ago 2 ensure science b4 politics: US Drops Bid 2 limit sales of PlanB

The Obama administration Monday announced it would no longer oppose a judge’s order that the Plan B “morning after” pill be made available over the counter to girls of all ages. Judge Edward Korman had ruled in April that restrictions on access to Plan B were “arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable.”
Sarah “Local Crime Story” Kliff of the Washington Post notes that President Obama, leader of the anti-science war on women, personally remains opposed to the absence of an age limit.
DOJ dropped its case after an appeals court denied its stay, which indicated it would likely lose the appeal.

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) is among those who still refer to 11-year-olds as minors and not women.
Obama Admin's reversal on morning-after pill tramples on parent’s role in their minor children's most personal healthcare decisions

Girls and women aren’t yet free of all restrictions on their personal choices, though; minors 17 and under in New Jersey will still need parental consent to use a tanning bed, for example.
