CNN, other mainstream media outlets shamed into Gosnell trial coverage

We didn’t need a graph to tell that social media sites like Twitter were indispensable in shaming mainstream news outlets into acknowledging the very existence of the horrifying Kermit Gosnell trial. The outpouring of demand from the public was overwhelming, to the point where the story of the abortion house of horrors has won the lead slot on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” tonight. The guest? The director of an ongoing documentary series about Gosnell.

CNN’s Jake Tapper and Erin Burnett also covered the trial today, with Tapper admitting it was an “undercovered” story.

The Washington Post, whose health policy reporter had dismissed the trial as a “local crime” story, also was forced to admit that it shouldn’t have taken this push from the public to dedicate a reporter to the story. As Twitchy reported earlier, there are plenty of empty seats available at the courthouse.
