American Federation of Teachers president: George Zimmerman 'walked free for too long'

Many are remembering Trayvon Martin today on the first anniversary of his shooting death, and a candlelight vigil is scheduled for tonight in New York City. Weingarten didn’t stop there; she also conflated the Trayvon Martin shooting with the mass shootings in Aurora, Newtown and Columbine in a call to address “gun safety and mental health.”
