'Proud Savage' Mona Eltahawy suspects entrapment in Federal Reserve bomb plot

Mona Eltahawy, who proudly vandalizes pro-Israel subway ads when she’s not appearing on CNN and MSNBC, wasted no time today suggesting that the arrest of a man suspected of attempting to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in New York was “another” case of FBI entrapment.

As Twitchy reported, 21-year-old Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis is accused of parking a van filled with the fake explosives — which were provided by an undercover FBI agent — outside of the Liberty Street building and then trying to detonate them using a cell phone. Nafis claimed allegiance to al Qaeda and told the agent that he was inspired by Osama bin Laden in his choice of target.

Eltahawy spent a night in jail (and drew praise from the Muslim Brotherhood) after spray-painting over one of these posters on display in the New York subway:

She later explained she was only layering her freedom of expression over someone else’s freedom of expression, and asked another D.C.-area Occupy group to send her video of any vandalism to posters in the Washington Metro.

Eltahawy’s followers like the sound of her theory.

We’re not sure to which “entrapments” Eltahawy is referring, but we’re reminded of the recent attempt by members of Occupy Cleveland to blow up a bridge in Ohio. An FBI informant supplied the men with fake explosives, which they planted on the Route 82 bridge and attempted to detonate with a cell phone. The men initially had planned to argue entrapment but ultimately pleaded guilty.
