A couple of months ago, New York City Mayor Eric Adams managed to offend Kansans when he said that “Kansas doesn’t have a brand.” New York City, he maintained, had a brand: When people thought of the city, it meant something to them. That’s why you’ve seen so many people retweet stories of beatings and murders in New York’s subway with the quote, “New York has a brand.”
Violent crime in the subway and throughout the city is now New York’s brand, and as Twitchy reported, Hochul called it a GOP “conspiracy” intended to scare people ahead of the midterms. One MSNBC host pushed back on Hochul, saying “I’m not going in the subway.” People are afraid, she said.
We don’t know who the reporter is, but kudos to her for asking Hochul if she hasn’t been taking a “mocking” tone about people’s very real fears about crime in New York.
Hochul says it is “absurd” to say that her campaign has taken a mocking tone toward voters’ fears about crime in the city. pic.twitter.com/Xo68zQXe8e

“I was on the subway with Mayor Adams and our 30 bodyguards and saw no crime.”😂😂😂😂😂

Surrounded by security.

She stood with Mayor Adams in the subway? It’s very different if you have an entire safety detail down there with you. Try walking in the subway or riding the train alone. I suspect your opinion would be very different.

Standing in the subway surrounded by armed security 🥴 Cannot wait to vote grandma out.

I don't who exactly asked that question, but certainly a follow-up should have been, "In the interest of full disclosure and transparency, how many armed secuity detail swept that station and train car before you arrived? And how many were present off camera?"

DARE her to get on the subway by herself…

While still trying to figure out why crime is such a concern.

None of that is true! There are no cameras, there aren’t enough cops, and who is she kidding? She’s down there with a large group of people, security and camera crews! That’s not a real subway ride! She’s a liar!

There go the voters believing their own lying ears again.

any time you have to wheelbarrow out Nadler, your campaign is in the shitter.

It truly is a sanctuary state and city… Look, she’s flanked by “The Penguin” to her left and doing nothing about it…

Did she hear Bill Clinton?
— Fergus (@Fergus57399950) November 7, 2022
Apparently not:
Yesterday, @BillClinton and @KathyHochul were laughing and joking about recent subway crimes. This tells you everything you need to know about how little they care about your life and safety. The countless victims of rampant crime do not think it's funny. We all deserve better. pic.twitter.com/vQjMOi4eDO

Oh hey, look she dragged out not only Jerry Nadler but the curse of any campaign, Randi Weingarten:

Weingarten helped sink Terry McAuliffe — let’s see if she can do the same for Hochul.
