Vice President Kamala Harris launches White House task force targeting online harassment and abuse

Good news for Taylor Lorenz, who struggles with “severe PTSD” from mean tweets. President Biden has established a task force to tackle the problem of online harassment and abuse, which, of course, disproportionately affects women and LGBTQIA+ people. Biden has picked his secret weapon, Vice President Kamala Harris, to head up with task force, which was launched to great fanfare Thursday. The task force’s mission has five parts, though our favorite was providing services and support to “survivors.”

We honestly don’t know how they overlooked Lorenz as a guest speaker at this launch party.

Someone asked a good question: Does this apply to “celebrities” too? Because we’ve seen our share dish out harassment.
