NSFW: Here's what Christina Aguilera wore for her kid-friendly LA Pride in the Park performance

As we reported a couple of weeks ago, a publication called Fatherly — “empowering men to raise great kids and lead more fulfilling adult lives” — asked if it was OK to take your kids to Pride Month parades and celebrations. “They’re filled with sights that may be new to kids, like public nudity and kink,” Fatherly tweeted. But the conclusion was that yes, you should take your kids to pride celebrations — just have some conversations with them first. “After a few events, the kids knew to expect nudity and other surprises.” One lesbian parent recalled “there were these Beanie Babies with giant penises on them,” but fourth- and fifth-grade kids found that “super-funny.”

Libs of TikTok was temporarily suspended from Twitter for posting a mega-thread of drag shows for kids being held to celebrate Pride Month. She also noted what Los Angeles Pride in the Park headliner Christina Aguilera wore to perform. Aguilera did a bunch of costume changes, but the outfit that seemed to get the most attention was the green number with the giant strap-on.

Do you want to see it in action? Of course you do:

To be frank, we’d be happier if it were Pride Week and not Pride Month. And what does this have to do with celebrating being gay?

Cool … kids under 5 get in free!

Exactly.

We actually did a post on “rainbow dildo butt monkey” last year; it was set up as part of the Redbridge Libraries Summer Reading Challenge, and the invited guests were a carnival troupe of sorts called Mandinga Arts.

As Fatherly suggested, “prepping your children beforehand can ensure that your family is respectful of queer people while at Pride.”
