The Constitution is very clear: the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Democrats don't like that pesky Second Amendment, though. It gets in the way of them turning us in the U.K., Canada, or Australia. Every time there's a high-profile mass shooting, they jump over the bodies of the victims to get in front of microphones and demand gun control.
They conveniently ignore, as they did in Minneapolis, that there are already gun laws on the books. Minnesota has red flag laws, universal background checks, mandates on safe gun storage, a bump stock ban, and gun-free zones. These gun-free zones include the Annunciation Catholic Church and school, where two children were killed by a 'transi-dentified' man named Robert Westman.
But, as I've argued, reducing gun violence and gun crime is not the Democratic Party's objective. If it were, they'd put criminals like Demond Taylor behind bars -- Taylor shot and killed a police officer in St. Louis and was released on a paltry $5,000 bond.
They have no interest in actually stopping crime, as evidenced by the past several weeks.
The goal is to strip law-abiding Americans like me and you of our guns so we are at the mercy of guys like Demond Taylor or William Livingston, who assaulted five women in Downtown Chicago and was released from police custody after the first four offenses. Democrats have not once called for stricter incarceration of such criminals, especially Taylor, who committed a gun crime. Democrats -- especially former President Barack Obama -- haven't told the Black community they need to stop shooting one another, and they will never have a conversation about keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill trans activist crowd.
After the shooting in Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey proved he knew nothing about guns -- sorry, 'assault rifles' as he called them -- and nobody on his staff bothered to educate him between that press conference on August 28 and today, when Frey continued to demonstrate his ignorance in the pursuit of curtailing our rights:

Of course, the reason why Frey remains ignorant is simple: he's lying in service of his agenda. Guns are bad, so he's going to make up scary terms about what assault weapons are and what they do.
There are no devices that turn a 'non-assault weapon' into one that can shoot off '30 rounds.' If Frey is referring to a bump stock, it uses a gun's recoil to aid in trigger pulls. But a trigger pull is required for every shot fired. Oh, bump stocks are also banned in Minnesota.
Westman used an AR-15 -- the most popular rifle in America -- as well as a semi-automatic handgun and a shotgun. All of those weapons were purchased legally, by the way. Oh, and Westman was known to the authorities following a few visits to the house in the last decade.
There is no circumstance under which the wholesale stripping of law-abiding Americans' Second Amendment rights would ever be justified. That right is unalienable, and we need look no further than Europe to see why we must cling to it. But if Democrats are going to keep trying to take away our guns, they could at least educate themselves on what those guns are and what they do.
Of course, telling the truth would undermine their agenda, so they lie. And while some of their gullible voters eat those lies up, the rest of us see it for what it is: a shameless, uneducated gun grab.
