Yesterday, Joe Biden rendered the Presidential Medal of Freedom all but meaningless by awarding it to some of the most undeserving, vile people on the planet including George Soros (his son Alex accepted the award on his behalf) and Hillary Clinton.

BIll Nye is not a scientist. I cannot emphasize this enough, and will expand on it shortly.
Back in June, I told you how Nye -- a guy with a net worth around $8 million -- said the quiet part out loud: environmentalists want to lower our quality of life to achieve their climate 'goals.' Those things won't work, of course, because it's the height of hubris to think my central air conditioning or my SUV change the climate. And it's ignorance to think if I eat bugs, Gaia will be healed.
But it's not about saving the environment. It's about forcing a socialist agenda on normal people while guys like Nye continue to live high off the hog.
Nye is also very anti-human:

I have three children, so I suppose (by default of birth order) my youngest is the 'extra' kid Nye abhors. Nye apparently thinks kids are interchangeable and indistinguishable from one another: that they are all the same, so having 'extra' kids is like owning an extra pair of socks.
Except it's not. My youngest is unique and different from his older brothers, and a delight to those who know and love him.
Bill Nye thinks he shouldn't exist.
But more to the point: awarding Nye this medal is an affront to what the Presidential Medal of Freedom is supposed to represent, and the hallmark of a wholly unserious country that doesn't actually value science or expertise.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1963, but prior to that, America couldn't bother to award one of the actual great scientists, Albert Einstein, anything of value. From 1945 to 1962 we awarded the Medal of Freedom to those civilians who aided America in World War II, and the Medal for Merit, awarded to those who 'distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services in the war effort.'
We never gave either to Albert Einstein.
Remember how the Left screamed about trusting the experts all throughout COVID? How we couldn't question scientists on the virus, its origins, or treatment thereof? Or how the science on climate change is 'settled'?
That's antithetical to actual science, which is about rigorous testing of hypothesis, data collection, and perpetual questioning.
Bill Nye is not an expert in science. He's not a scientist.
He has a degree in mechanical engineering and a career as an actor/comedian. He has zero education and background in climate science, meteorology, or biology -- the things that are important to understanding climate.
He is not an expert on climate change.
And we need to stop acting like he is.
