Democrat James Talarico and his broadcast television allies are trying to skirt the FCC’s Political Programming Rules, specifically the Equal Times rule. Talarico and CBS did this back in February by trying to have him on Stephen Colbert’s late-night show. The segment aired on YouTube. Democrat Senate primary candidate Jasmine Crockett got screwed in that scheme. Now, Talarico and ABC are using the same propaganda playbook, but this time with Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show. That segment also went to YouTube. Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton is getting robbed of his equal time. It’s bad enough that they used the same scheme. But apparently they recycled the script, too.
Check out these sound-alike clips from both shows. (WATCH)
Talarico and his media allies liked the script so much the first time, they decided to run it back.

Same setup, same answer. pic.twitter.com/xOlj67Ptwh
No creativity, but why sweat it? Their audience doesn't have the mental bandwidth to process more than one message on a loop.

It's true. They run the same tired plays out of the same thin playbook.

We knew leftist entertainment writers were out of ideas, but this is ridiculous.
Posters say all the FCC heat bearing down on ABC would go away if Kimmel offered Paxton the same interview opportunity or the network offered equivalent airtime.
Here is a simple idea. Bring on his opponent as a guest as well. That might get the FCC off his tail.
— Russell (@russell_m) September 13, 2026
Then the whole stunt is ruined.
— Dyler Turden (@Kirkshaun1357) September 13, 2026
Exactly. It would ruin that extended arm of the Democratic Party and ruin the theatricality.

Instead, they offer free campaign commercials.
— Western Lensman (@WesternLensman) September 13, 2026
Talarico benefits from these interviews, which are essentially campaign ads.
Posters say nothing is real or grassroots about Talarico’s campaign. He’s getting major support from California.
Hes so creepy. I get how fake celebrities don’t see Talrico as inauthentic. Birds of a feather flock together. But. Texas?
— stacymcgarahan (@stacymcgarahan) September 13, 2026
I can’t believe this guy even has a chance in Texas. Texas?!?
— Charlie 🇺🇸 (@charliehummer4) September 13, 2026
This guy sounds like Vermont, Massachusetts, Delaware material.
He appeals to women, especially psychotic AWFLs. We’ll see if that’s enough to get him over the finish line in the Senate race.
Commenters say the Democrat Party is just as scripted as Talarico.
NOTHING Democrats do is sincere, genuine, authentic, heartfelt of good for America.
— Scott Dog (@ScottDog6) September 13, 2026
NOTHING
It’s all scripted
— Kevinmarc (@Kevinmarc7822) September 13, 2026
I hate all of it so much, the artifice of it all.
— @yosoykiel (@kielruckerz) September 13, 2026
The media is there to serve the Party
— William Mallery (@allinthewaiting) September 13, 2026
That’s always been true. But with these Talarico stunts, it looks like they’ve found a new way to help their favored Democrat Party candidates.
