Rage Return?: Politico ‘Journo’ Declared COVID Damage Repaired Until Fauci Forced to Testify

Sometimes it’s amazing just how disconnected ‘journalists’ are from the world around them and how out of touch they are with the people they claim they are writing for. Case in point is a recent Politico headline declaring that COVID rage had subsided. ‘Journalists’ really think Americans whose lives and livelihoods were destroyed over the government’s overreaction to COVID just suddenly forgot or said ‘let bygones be bygones.’ They’re just mad that Dr. Anthony Fauci was recently put in the hot seat for instigating that destruction while lying about it.

Here’s more. (READ)

Americans really haven’t had an adequate outlet or occasion to release their rage until last week’s ’Fauci diaries’ hearings.

The Politico writer naively assumed this meant the damage caused by the government’s response to COVID had been repaired. Um, wrong!

Besides the illness and death, the disruption and the loneliness, Americans remember the pandemic for its vitriol. The handling of COVID divided the parties, the states, families, and neighbors, and it’s taken years, in many cases, to repair the damage.

No, it hasn't subsided. Americans are still angry about loved ones dying alone. Angry about loss of learning and socialization in their children. Angry about people who died needlessly. Angry about the brazen way Fauci knowingly lied to us, trying to avoid tough questions about his funding of gain-of-function research. Angry about the way he attacked available treatments so his friends in big pharma could make money with their new solution.

Exactly.

Isolation was a main focus of the COVID response, but it’s clear ‘journalists’ are still isolated in their political bubbles with their fellow Democrats. Reality can’t seep in.

If they did, they would still be fuming mad that unnecessary school shutdowns set their children back.

Commenters laugh at the ridiculous assertion that COVID rage has subsided. Here are plenty of reasons why anger is still white hot.

Correct. ‘Journalists’ are culpable, so they’ve chosen to ignore the anger still swirling around them. Better for them to pretend genuine rage is misplaced than to accept responsibility for a soul-destroying pandemic panic that Americans can never get over.
