Legacy media outlets are refusing to call Islamic terrorism exactly what it is. CNN is probably the most egregious in this regard. The cable ‘news’ outlet has recently tried to portray two alleged terrorists as anti-Muslim by lying that they were targeting NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani with explosives. The real target was anti-Muslim protesters. On Thursday, anchor Jake Tapper said we shouldn’t assume the motive of a Muslim man who crashed his vehicle into a synagogue and then opened fire on the Jews inside. On Friday, Tapper was at it again, this time warning that these anti-Semitic Islamic terrorist attacks could lead to backlash against Muslims. Of course, Tapper reserved his ire for Republicans and not anti-Semitic Democrats.

WATCH: CNN's Jake Tapper opens Friday's show with a monologue warning of the backlash against Muslims and followers of Islam following the recent string of anti-Semitic attacks across the globe.
Notably, he only name-checked Republicans as having their priorities wrong because of their tweets about Islam and Islamophobia: Randy Fine, Tommy Tuberville, and Andy Ogles.
Nothing about anti-Semitism on the left or in Islam.
Here’s Tapper’s open. (WATCH)

Does anyone fall for this stuff anymore?
— PunishedNixon🚁🇺🇸 (@NixonPunished) March 13, 2026
Sadly, yes.
Posters noted that Tapper’s premise of blaming anti-Semitic violence by Muslims on Republicans makes no sense.
Yes @jaketapper let's turn anti-Semitism attack on a synagogue into an attack on some Republicans who used words against Islam...

I must have missed all the attacks on mosques

Muslim terrorists are attacking Jewish houses of worship and he’s worried about backlash against Muslims?!

Wait, is Tapper doing the meme?
Yep, the fool is doing the viral Norm MacDonald meme about backlash to Muslims.

Amazing how often that meme needs to be used

It’s because ‘journalists’ can’t bring themselves to blame violent Muslims for their actions. They must always portray Muslims as the victims even as they victimize others.
It’s weird that Tapper is Jewish but appears to be siding with Islamists. His political ideology demands it.

Translation: I'm on your side, extremists. Please don't hurt me.
Tapper is a groveling hack 🤷♀️
— ScyfyLala (@SciFiMom13) March 14, 2026
seriously. @jaketapper has friends and family. they can't like him literally lying to minimize jew hate. he and his family are jewish. it's crazy

They did the same thing after 9/11.
— geekenvogue (@geekenvogue) March 13, 2026
They don’t want to hurt the feelings of the Islamic terrorists.
It’s insane.
Commenters say this bizarre empathy that ‘journalists’ and their fellow Democrats exhibit towards violent Muslims is getting people hurt and killed.
They're trying to kill you, openly admit it but don't you dare hold those islamist responsible.
— Joe (@joestlbh) March 14, 2026
This is what suicidal empathy looks like. Do better @CNN
— Never Again Is Now (@Mikeblumey) March 14, 2026
We’ve been watching this same nonsense going on in Europe and Britain. Islamist attack and kill Jews but instead of showing compassion for the victims they demonstrate “suicidal empathy” for the attackers. We cannot allow that to happen here.
— TheVig (@viglione_m17502) March 14, 2026
We can’t let it happen, no matter how much Tapper and his ilk try to guilt us into surrendering our nation’s present and future to it.
