CNN’s Christiane Amanpour is shaking with fear over visiting America, or so she claims. She says it’s as bad as going into North Korea. So, how does she 'overcome' her unfounded fear? With a quick payday, of course! However, she doesn’t come out and say it.

CNN's Christiane Amanpour afraid to travel to America as a foreigner, says it's like going to North Korea https://t.co/sV1pdL93II

You’re right, Christiane. I just saw New Yorkers eating bark from the trees in Central Park.

Amanpour is just being the Trump-hating leftist she is.
Here she reveals the absurd lengths she allegedly goes through before flying to the United States from her home in London, England.
British-born CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour revealed on her podcast "The Ex Files" on Wednesday that she recently prepared to travel to the U.S. as if she were traveling to North Korea.
"I must say I was afraid," Amanpour said. "I’m a foreigner. I don’t have a green card. I’m not an American citizen. I’m fairly prominent, and I literally prepared to go to America as if I was going to North Korea. I took a burner phone. Imagine that. I didn’t take a single…not my mobile phone, not my iPad, nothing, and I had nothing on the burner phone except a few numbers."
Famed Gulf War reporter says it's less safe for her in the USA than a warzone.

Gimme a break.
Why would she come to America? We don't want her. She doesn't want to be here.

Why would she come to America? That’s a good question.
Amanpour reveals why she would enter a country she casually compares to North Korea. It’s money, of course. Amanpour reportedly charges a minimum of $40,000 per speech. Who knows how much over that amount she was able to wrestle away from Harvard Kennedy School?
Speaking with her ex-husband Jamie Rubin, a former State Department official, Amanpour recalled a speech she gave at Harvard Kennedy School last month. Although she was a prominent media figure, she expressed fear that she would be stopped by border security.
That’s ridiculous! North Korea?!

She’s lying and probably using her alleged fear to command higher speech rates from organizations in the U.S.
Amanpour has been to North Korea and knows the two are in no way comparable.
Well, since she had no trouble visiting North Korea back in 2008 - oppression, starvation, and those charming work camps included. I’m sure a trip to the U.S., without all those pesky human rights violations, should be an absolute breeze for her and her progressive/liberal pals. pic.twitter.com/5wsdCWoSEG

She described that 2008 trip described as challenging due to the country’s isolation, strict government oversight, and lack of freedoms like internet access or travel.

And she has the audacity to compare the U.S. to NK.
Again, she’s playing people because of her leftist politics.
Commenters correctly state that no one should take Amanpour and other ‘journalists’ at CNN seriously after years of outright deception.
CNN and most of its reporters, including Christiana Amanpour, can't be taken seriously after all the hoaxes they've pushed. No wonder their ratings have hit new lows. Christiane Amanpour's statement comparing traveling in America to going to North Korea is pure buffoonery.

We need to stop thinking of reporters as smart people who investigate and report the news.
— Ireene Almayda (@IreeneAlmayda) June 5, 2025
Most are not.
They have a narrative to push.
Informing the public is not even on their radar.
She’s not a reporter. She’s an activist.

Such a has been, drama queen.

She should listen to Kamala Harris. But the money's just too good.
