Five for Fighting’s John Ondrasik decided to go for a little run in our nation’s capital this morning. In a series of tweets posted this afternoon, he describes what happened:
Amazingly I just happened to cruise by the WWII memorial and it's barricades. #54F pic.twitter.com/NZ46HflEa7

The WWII memorial saga illustrates the best & worst of America. Moronic political theater, & the citizens ability to roll right through it.

This sucks for the tourists. I have a feeling if Mr. Lincoln were President I could walk up these steps. #54F pic.twitter.com/3hSwL9iqAG

Look, I've always been a supporter of the cops, and they've been put in a no-win position here. I fully understand that. That said,…#54F

I asked him why at some monuments people are allowed to cross the barricades without incident. He replied that was "their problem". #54F

When I mentioned he is fully in the right to ask me to leave, (which I was doing), or arrest me if I would not, well, that didn't work..#54F

More than anything, my episode under the purview of Mr. Jefferson reflects a certain gov't overtone that was perfectly illustrated when #54F

I asked him "why do you have to put your hands on me and push me out when I'm leaving anyways"…he replied "it's quicker this way"…#54F

Forget about civil disobedience inside the “Barry-cades.” According to Ondrasik’s account, civil obedience is also frowned upon.
