David Axelrod is the latest Democrat to liken House Republicans to hostage takers

Former White House senior adviser David Axelrod compared Republicans to hostage takers yesterday.

Apparently, it’s not the first time:

Axelrod’s words were similar to those used recently by other top Democrats, including President Obama, White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

The distasteful comparison has become so commonplace that hardly anyone raises an eyebrow anymore.

Ironically, as numerous Twitter users have pointed out, President Obama is far more willing to negotiate with actual hostage takers than with the so-called “hostage takers” in the House GOP.
