It’s been almost a year since Whoopi Goldberg stated with confidence that “the Holocaust isn’t about race.” But even after all this time, her remarks haven’t gotten any less insanely ignorant and offensively stupid.

After she said that, ABC News placed Goldberg — whose real name is Caryn Johnson — on a two-week suspension, aka mandatory vacation. Back when she got suspended, Noam Blum called out ABC News for what amounted to barely even a limp slap on the wrist for Goldberg, a blatant virtue-signaling move that ultimately wouldn’t require that Goldberg take any accountability for what she’d said.
And wouldn’t you know it? After that two-week lid and after all this time, Goldberg has indeed not learned anything at all:

In the interview with The Sunday Times, Goldberg – whose real name is Caryn Johnson and goes by a self-given name she has said comes from a Jewish relative – said there is division about whether Judaism is a race or a religion. That’s when the interviewer noted that to the Nazis, it was a race, hence the Holocaust, which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 6 million Jews.
“That’s the killer, isn’t it” Goldberg responded. “The oppressor is telling you what you are. Why are you believing them? They’re Nazis. Why believe what they’re saying?”

“Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision,” she said, later adding, “… you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them. That was the point I was making. But you would have thought that I’d taken a big old stinky dump on the table, butt naked.”
The interviewer wrote that Goldberg then pondered whether a Jewish person is still part of the Jewish race if they are no longer practicing their religion. And when the interviewer asked whether race can be more about skin color, Goldberg responded, “Well, it’s not in its official… when you look it up.”

Well, to be fair, she has no incentive to try to hide it. She was whisked off the air by ABC News instead of answering for what she’d said. And we fully expect ABC News not to even acknowledge this new set of remarks.

So weir(D), right? Almost like she’s got some sort of special (D)ispensation to spew horrendously offensive lies while othe(R)s can be canceled for saying things that are true but inconvenient.
The elephant in the room is that her characterization of blacks being targeted and *worse off* during the Holocaust isn't even true. Blacks were not systematically targeted for extermination like Jews.
