“King of the Hill” was canceled 12 years ago, but “The Simpsons” is still on. Because there’s no justice in this upside-down world.
So, while we’re left to speculate about what the good people of Rainey Street are up to these days, we know exactly what’s going on on Evergreen Terrace.
And we really, really wish we didn’t. Because it’s pretty ridiculous:

Actually, even leaving aside Reich’s asinine politics, this is just a really, really bizarre move on “The Simpsons'” part. Reich’s not known for being entertaining. At least not intentionally …

That’s an eeeeeeeeexcellent way to think about it. “The Simpsons” has died on the table multiple times now. Maybe they’ve just decided that when they finally do go out, it’ll be not with a bang, but with a whimper.
