This afternoon, conservative attorney Gabriel Malor tweeted about the case of Khalil Abu Rayyan, an ISIS sympathizer in Michigan who pled guilty to federal gun charges. Rayyan described a plan to shoot up a church and was sentenced to 60 months in prison:
6th Cir. allows upward sentencing variance in a gun possession case (60 months imposed for a crime the USSG recommends between 15 and 20 months) on account of the man's ISIL sympathies, Twitter boasts of plan to attack a church. https://t.co/CIXBCqtHdd pic.twitter.com/wNYGYgOTA0

Malor drew some extra attention to one particular detail:
He told the undercover FBI agent on Twitter that he was planning an attack on a church because "people are not allowed to carry guns in church." pic.twitter.com/kwSFu81gtL

You don’t say!
Yo, guys. Gun-free zone at work right here –> https://t.co/wYRIu25tdH

It’s almost as if designating an area as a gun-free zone not only doesn’t discourage potential mass shooters, but actually emboldens them.
Well, for what it’s worth:
Geez… he'd be in for a nasty surprise at my church.

Well he’d be wrong in our case
We have several churches in area who literally have armed Deacons/Elders & number of Congregation CCW members. No sign on doors that scream “GunFreeZone” either lol— ????????? (@Serafinos) March 19, 2018
