It's always telling when news networks pay to fly a news crew overseas to cover something. For example, CNN recently flew Anderson Cooper and a camera crew to Nepal just to talk to the foreign minister, who essentially told CNN that the rest of the world owed Nepal "reparations" in the name of "climate justice, even though climate change had nothing to do with the landslides there.
Now CBS News has flown a reporter to Liberia, where some illegal aliens from Latin America have been deported. It looks like the United States is paying Liberia millions to house these illegal aliens in what looks to be a pretty nice hotel. These people are in limbo, though, thousands of miles away from both the United States and their home countries. Just to clarify, they left their home countries and traveled thousands of miles to sneak into the U.S.
Last month, the Trump administration sent a group of deportees from countries like Brazil and Venezuela to the West African nation of Liberia.

My understanding is they asked not to be deported back to their home country. So they weren’t as requested. But you don’t tell that part. Why not return home? Probably wanted in their own countries.
