You won’t find us giving Barack Obama props for much, but today, he did something right when he paid tribute to the late Rev. Billy Graham:
Billy Graham was a humble servant who prayed for so many – and who, with wisdom and grace, gave hope and guidance to generations of Americans.

Naturally, some lefties are pissed.
I love you but I can’t retweet this one. ?♂️

Sir. He caused, directly and indirectly, tremendous pain for so many Americans and non-Americans. You have to know that. That is also part of his legacy. Sir.

He also preached fake news when will we teach our children facts instead of bible stories. Trump is one issue then we have Republicans and evangelicals. Science is real
— Trumps a Con (@crawfish190) February 21, 2018
he absolutely called you the N-word in private conversation
— Wudder Herzog (@FanSince09) February 21, 2018
Nope. He spent decades demonizing my religion and directing hatred at us as well as the LGBTQ community. He gave hope and guidance to horrible people on how to be more horrible and bilked poor people to enrich himself, and taught his kids that too.

He also hated LGBT folks, so…. maybe rethink this?

Billy Graham was a hateful, greedy man who used religion as a cudgel. If there is a hell, he is burning in it right now.

Can't support that statement. He was evil and divisive and I am not sad he is gone. Sorry.
— Inezsneks (@inezsneks) February 21, 2018
I think you should have been a little more honest, Graham was a horrible person who inflicted great misery upon this nation’s vulnerable minorities.
— Chris Sawyer (@HarpyFeathers) February 21, 2018
He was a problematic white guy, who advocated for the subjugation of vast swaths of society, who weren't privileged white men.
I'm certain we could find nice things to say about Nero if he lived and died in this age.
But why?
Let's acknowledge the problems these men create.— ?Colonizing_America_Owes_ADOS_Reparations ™? (@IlIOcherokeelIl) February 21, 2018
With all due respect Mr. President, Graham was a homophobic bigot. He might have given hope and guidance to certain Americans, but to a lot of us, his words hurt way more than helped.
— Amy O'Neill (@amymoneill) February 21, 2018
Sir, I love you and voted for you twice. Billy Graham was a feckless thug. A homophobic, antisemtic, anti-women preacher. The world would have been better off if he had never been born.
