Whoa, whoa, whoa … Stop the presses! We’ve got a scandal brewin’!
Wisconsin Governor — and likely GOP presidential candidate — Scott Walker is in London on a trade visit. Earlier today, as Walker was discussing trade at British think tank Chatham House, an interviewer asked him for his thoughts on evolution. Walker didn’t feel like talking about it:
"i'm gonna punt on that one, as well" – Scott Walker on evolution. Says he was in UK to talk trade. And not a pol's place to discuss.

Walker in London gets asked about views on evolution. "I'm going to punt on that one as well" says not something a pol should be involved in

Uh-oh …
I'm looking forward to see progs bash Walker for not answering evolution q, while it was OK for O to say abortion was "above his pay grade".

Scott Walker doesn't want to tell us if he believes in evolution, in case you're wondering how 2016 is shaping up.

@joshtpm @TPM Just like evolution punted on Scott Walker.

So, GOP candidates are scientists when it comes to vaccines. But not evolution and climate change. Got it.

Has to look up what it means first RT @nationaljournal Scott Walker will not say whether he believes in evolution. http://t.co/kjQk3rY2dx

A better question would be: Does Scott Walker know what evolution is?— NS Dave (@dave1oakns) February 11, 2015

Scott Walker cuts education by hundreds of mil, won't answer question about evolution. Repubs trying to turn 'Idiocracy' into a documentary.

For Scott Walker to refuse to answer his thoughts on evolution can only mean he's an embarrassed anti-science Creationist. #PerfectGOPstooge
— #TrumpCult clown Scott Walker gone. Trump is next! (@scottwalkerwtch) February 11, 2015
Or maybe — just maybe — Scott Walker’s views on evolution don’t have any bearing on his competence with regards to economics and trade.
“The media isn’t talking about the shooting at Chapel Hill. It’d rather write about silly things. Scott Walker didn’t talk about evolution!”
— Charles C. W. Cooke (@charlescwcooke) February 11, 2015
I do not care how any candidate feels about evolution. Signed, everyone

Glad you went to journalism school so that one day you could ask the Governor of Wisconsin about evolution during a press conf. on trade?

If there’s anything to poke at Walker about, it’s this:
I'll critique Walker, though. He should have said "What on earth are you babbling about? This is a trade meeting."

Parting food for thought:
More disingenuous: Scott Walker's "punt" on evolution, or Barack Obama's same sex marriage "evolution?"
— Mike (@ThePantau) February 11, 2015
anyone freaking out about Walker's evolution pass: Obama said he didn't know when human life begins. And he lies. cc @MZHemingway
