The bar hasn't been set very high for Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Amy Klobuchar. A Democrat running in a state that hasn't elected a Republican in over a decade should have it easy. Shake some hands, kiss some babies, talk some smack on Trump, and above all, avoid being crazy.
That last part is what the utensil-tossing poster child for anger management is having trouble with.
In one of the most pathetic displays of political pandering we have seen in a long time, Klobuchar, waving an upside-down American flag, stood in front of a Somali crowd, enthusiastically waving Somali flags, puckered up, and started kissing.

What in the name of al-Shabaab was she thinking?
We get it, all politicians pander, but the scandal surrounding Somalis sending money, billions of which were fleeced from American taxpayers, to Somalia is the very reason her predecessor, Tim Walz, decided against running for reelection.
Yet she smiled and offered to keep the gravy train moving.

It won't, it should, but it won't. Not that 'Salad Comb' Klobuchar is doing well. She came out of the primaries with a double-digit lead over Republican candidate Lisa Demuth. That lead has since been cut in half, but she still enjoys a six- or seven-point lead depending on which poll you read.
Despite the suicidal empathy and all the anti-American rhetoric. She is still on the inside track to win in November.
Klobuchar is digging a hole when she should be coasting to victory.

There was a time when disrespecting the American flag and campaigning to use American tax dollars to support a foreign nation would end a campaign in the blink of an eye. Amy is betting her 'Learing Center' strategy will get her across the finish line in November. We hope she is wrong, but it is Minnesota.
At least she didn't throw the flag at anyone.
