Is author Sherman Alexie implying that Native Americans are prone to violence?

So … if a white person uses the word “Redskin” around a Native American, he or she will get beat up? That’s great, Sherman. Really working hard to showcase that racial sensitivity.

For the record, numerous polls have found that most Native Americans are not offended by the Washington Redskins name — which makes Alexie’s tweet even more moronic.
