As Twitchy told you yesterday, Scarlett Johansson has come under major fire from the social justice mob for her upcoming role as Dante “Tex” Gill, a female-to-male transgender massage parlor owner. Johansson defended her decision by pointing out that she’s far from the first “cis” person to play a transgender role. And just in case she needs the extra help, actor Jon Lovitz is backing her up today:

It was also a role that originally went to a trans actress, Alexandra Billings, before the offer was rescinded as they needed a name actress in order to move forward with production. It's on the financiers to help change the status quo.
