Contrary to popular opinion, I try to be a lady.
Sometimes.
More so as I have gotten older and more dignified ... or something.
I logged on today and discovered that Rep. Thomas Massie — engineer, farmer, inventor, professional lone wolf, and current champion of reading names we already knew — blocked me from his official congressional account.
To be fair, he may have blocked me long before today, but I only just noticed today so that makes this even funnier.

Ok, so not my most ladylike post ever but still.
That's the tweet.
That's the mood.
How very principled.
This is the same Massie who spent months lecturing the entire Republican Party about courage, sunlight, and speaking truth to power. The same guy who lost his primary, then immediately discovered that Epstein Files Transparency Act II was the hill he simply had to die on. Again. The same man who takes the House floor, recites a list that was already public, collects signatures like he's inventing gravity, and then uses the official @Rep account to mute a critic instead of, I don't know, legislating.
From the official account. That's the chef's kiss.
Staffers and ethics people spend years reminding members that the government handle is not your personal diary and not your block button for mean girls on the internet. And yet here we are.
I have been dragging this man for months because the performance stopped matching the record. He wanted applause for a sequel after the original bill passed and he still lost. Lame ducks love sequels. Now he wants silence.
Sorry, Congressman. Blocking me does not make the coverage go away. It just makes you look like the guy who can invent thirty patents but cannot handle one bunny with a keyboard.
Smile at people who hate you, they say. Or block them from the government account. Apparently that's the Massie way now.
