As Twitchy readers know, overnight one student from Parkland High School claimed CNN wanted him to read a scripted question for last night’s #StudentsStandup town hall. The young man’s name is Colton Haab, and he claims he wanted to speak about school safety and support the idea of armed security in schools, and when CNN allegedly refused this question he opted out of the town hall.
Since this story broke, CNN released the following statement claiming this was not true:

Hrm. They claim they didn’t script questions and they never have … which is hilarious because it’s CNN we’re talking about and they’ve made headlines more than once or twice for doing just that.

Never ever.
Except for that one time with Obama … oh, and that other time with Hillary:

From the New York Post:
CNN has a long history of allowing political plants to flourish in its public forums.
Using young people… to shape narratives wasn’t an Obama invention, of course. Last week, Hillary Clinton’s town hall events featured two children reading scripted questions on gender pay equity and guns. The campaign balked at accusations that they would exploit kids and manufacture questions.
Gallo-Chasanoff conceded to asking the question, which read: “As a young person, I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?”
Upon reflection, Gallo-Chasanoff felt ashamed of her cooperation with Democratic Kabuki theater and condemned the charade as “dishonest.”
Tell us another one, CNN.

Let’s just hope they don’t dox this kid or attack his grandma in her front yard.
Wow CNN, keep on diggin’.
