Breaking news out of Venezuela where we’re seeing reports that U.S. journalist Cody Weddle and his Venezuelan colleague have been detained by the Venezuelan military after an early-morning raid on his home in Caracas:
Reports in Venezuela that US journalist Cody Weddle @coweddle has been detained by Venezuelan military intelligence, his home raided. If true, this is extremely problematic and a very dangerous move for the Maduro government to make. Trump is waiting for any excuse to intervene. https://t.co/kCv43FXJMq

The station has not been able to get in touch with him:
Attempts by Local 10 management to reach Weddle have proven unsuccessful. His last contact with station employees came on Tuesday afternoon during the Local 10 News.
His last report was on the return of U.S.-recognized interim President Juan Guaido:
Opposition lawmakers announce that Juan Guaido “is in Venezuelan territory” and successfully passed through immigration at the Caracas airport. Now we wait for him to arrive at this concentration. It’s his first trip back after leaving the country on Jan. 22. pic.twitter.com/6C2pVfMmtK
