There was terrible news out of California overnight after a man opened fire inside the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, killing at least 12 people.
At a press conference earlier, the Ventura County Sheriff described the weapon used:
The shooter used a .45-caliber Glock handgun in the massacre, Dean said. The gun was purchased legally, he added, but had an extended magazine on it.
New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof said the mass shooting was more evidence of weak gun laws:

It would be useful to have facts, like did the Shooter actually go through background check? Did he only use a handgun?
