Let’s get this out of the way first: we really think the following tweets, if necessary at all, should have come from President Trump’s personal account, @realDonaldTrump, and not the official White House account. But the White House is fighting back against senators’ calls to abolish ICE, so here we are:

Plenty of journalists are shocked that the White House account would “target” individual senators, but NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell wasn’t having any of it.

FALSELY in all caps was a nice touch, but Mitchell wasn’t through advocating for those poor, defenseless senators. Here’s where she transforms from an unbiased journalist into a legal scholar within 8 minutes:
