Head coach of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors is no fan of the new NFL anthem policy:

Steve Kerr on the NFL's new anthem rule: "Typical of the NFL. Appealing to their fanbase. Basically just trying to use the anthem as fake patriotism, nationalism. Idiotic."

From the Sporting News:

2) Players, coaches and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem.

And the league can take action against players who don’t follow the policy:

“The league office will determine how to deal with any possible instance in which a player, coach or trainer does not stand for the anthem.”

And can we note that both businesses — the NBA and NFL — are attempting to appeal to their customers. Since when is that a thing?
