Update:

Authorities reportedly have a suspect in custody. More from the Seattle Times:

Early reports indicate at least six people have been shot.

A suspect has been taken into custody, according to The Spokesman-Review.

Dr. Jeff Collins, the chief physician at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, told the newspaper the shooting left up to six victims and two were admitted to the hospital. Their ages and the extent of their injuries weren’t immediately known.

Spokane Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer said, “The threat from the shooter has been eliminated.”

Schaeffer said one student was killed at the school.

Sacred Heart Hospital confirmed three children were transported in stable condition following the shooting.
