As we told you, Gov. Terry McAuliffe of Virginia told reporters on Tuesday that he’s never met Wang Wenliang, the Chinese billionaire at the center of a DOJ-FBI investigation into potential illegal campaign contributions to McAullife during his 2012 gubernatorial run.
That turns out to have been a lie. From the New York Times:

McAuliffe, less than 24 hours after telling reporters he never met Wang Wenliang, changed his tune in an interview Wednesday morning with WTOP:
McAuliffe now says he probably met with Wang Wenliang once or twice, said yesterday he didn't think he met him ever
