Kentucky goes red, elects Republican Matt Bevin governor

The GOP’s Matt Bevin led what the Courier-Journal is calling “a near-Republican rout of state constitutional offices” in today’s election in Kentucky. With 100 percent of the vote counted, Bevin won election over Democrat Jack Conway by a 53 to 44 vote.
