Dubai-based reporter Jenan Moussa reports that the Islamic State has posted an audio recording claiming responsibility for the downing of a Russian passenger jet which crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people aboard.

“Wait and see” seems to be best approach. CNN reports that the plane’s black boxes have been recovered from the wreckage, and Russia is already rejecting any claims of terrorism.

The flight might have been above weapons range, but that doesn’t rule out a bomb on the flight. The ISIS claim is still flimsy, though.
