Writer Dylan Matthews overlooked Reagan in his Memorial Day piece, “It’s time we have a holiday to honor those who try to stop wars too,” but he did manage to name-check several socialists, anarchists and deserters while admitting that even a holiday “honoring those who tried to stop war through peaceful means — organized protest, tax evasion, other forms of civil disobedience —would likely be a tall order.”
