As Twitchy reported, reality-challenged NBC News anchor Brian Williams issued a “personal note” today in which he revealed he’ll be stepping away from the anchor desk for a few days “due to my actions.” “Upon my return,” he wrote, he would rededicate himself to regaining the trust of his viewers.
As managing editor of NBC Nightly News, Williams is apparently in a position to suspend himself and return at will. But will a few days off the air help his case, especially if NBC continues its internal investigation and those blogger-types keep unearthing chopper whoppers like his recollection of looking “down the tube of an RPG that had been fired at us”?
