CBS basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb deletes tweet on Kobe Bryant and the #ICantBreathe T-shirt

CBS college basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb has created a little bit of controversy for himself after first posting, and then deleting, what many think was an inappropriate comment on Kobe Bryant and his decision to wear an Eric Garner-inspired “I Can’t Breathe” T-shirt during pregame warm-ups. Nope — those screenshots are forever. As is the spelling error. It’s “breathe,” not “breath.” Sheesh.

No word yet from CBS on what, if any, action they will take for the comment.

Editor’s note: This post initially misidentified Doug Gottlieb as Scott Gottlieb (thanks to Rich Ruggiero for bringing the mistake to our attention). We have corrected the headline and text and apologize for the error.
