President Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 19 people today, ranging from Meryl Streep to Stevie Wonder to “queen of carbon science” Mildred Dresselhaus. Reporters love to report about other reporters, though, so it was no surprise that the presentation of the award to long-time NBC anchor Tom Brokaw received the most attention from other journalists (and a good deal of snark from those not in the business).
