Atheists slam 'imbecilic' Nina Pham for crediting power of prayer for recovery

You might remember that when Ebola survivor Kevin Brantly was released from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta virus-free, he held a press conference where he thanked his doctors and nurses and declared that, “Above all, I am forever thankful to God for sparing my life.” That statement earned Brantly a douchebag of the day award from caustic atheists on Twitter, who believed science was solely responsible for Brantly’s recovery.

You can imagine the response, then, when nurse Nina Pham today also credited the power of prayer for her recovery.

Seeing as Pham is herself a nurse who was doing the delicate work of tending to an Ebola patient, we’re pretty sure she knows a thing about science as well as spirituality.
