In 2008, Mozilla’s Brendan Eich made a $1,000 donation in support of California’s Proposition 8. Eich, the creator of JavaScript, was recently named CEO of that company, however, due to controversy over his personal belief that marriage should be between a man and a woman, and under pressure from the Board, Eich announced he’s stepping down:

Eich’s resignation follows online dating site OkCupid advising users to switch from Mozilla’s Firefox over the CEO’s personal stance for traditional marriage.
