Washington Post asks, where are the Koch brothers of the Left?

Let’s be fair, here. The Washington Post’s Reid Wilson isn’t saying in his piece that there aren’t any big league Democrat donors (ahem, George Soros). His point is that there’s no equivalent of the Koch brothers on the left.

Wilson writes that “the coordination between big donors that the Koch network so ably facilitates just doesn’t exist on the Democratic side.” Why not? For one, Republican donors tend to favor policies with a direct effect on companies’ bottom lines, while “Democratic donors revolve more around social issues,” and are often single-issue givers focusing on abortion, same-sex marriage and climate change. Got it?

What do you mean? Is it possible Wilson overlooked something? Something really, really obvious, perhaps?

Hmm. Those unions certainly don’t seem to lack any sort of network to rake in the cash.
