While Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz tries to figure out who could be responsible for a gang-like shooting outside a high school football game, a woman on X has given us another mystery to ponder. She says that at the beginning of every month, Middle Eastern-looking men come to Walmart and fill shopping cart after shopping cart with jugs of milk.
At the start of every month, Middle Eastern-looking men load cart after cart of milk at Walmart and sometimes take it all. They were there again this month. It's baffling. 🤔 pic.twitter.com/T4N5Bj3Keb

That's a lot of milk, even for a herd of goats. Sleuths on X proposed some explanations:
They are very concerned about osteoporosis so mind your own business

They shop for their convenience stores, using SNAP (food stamps) card to pay for all the food, then sell for cash at their store. Have 3 wives, 2 of them collect government funds and the men use the funds to buy inventory for their store.

They’re buying with food stamps & reselling it all in their own stores, all the while jacking up the prices in order to make a profit. 😡

They are reselling it at their little convenience stores for a couple of bucks more than what they paid for it. Central Ohio. FACT. Cockroaches!

They must be amused at how stupid we are.

They buy it with their EBT cards and then sell it in their stores for profit

They also do this with cereal. And they pay with foodstamps, and make counterfeit coupons, to get even more, then they sell it at their store. Not a penny spent, it’s infuriating.

EBT card fraud. You’ll see Walmart brand milk at their grocery stores.

They sell it at their convenience stores. The Seiks who own convenience stores do the same thing. I've even seen them standing in line at food trucks to fill their bags full of free food so they could resell it in their stores.

They buy it to go put it in their convenience stores and mark up the prices!! Seen it for YEARS! Check out a Sam's and watch! 😂🤣

I can’t believe the store where they bought it wouldn’t get suspicious and then file a complaint with the police if it’s illegal. Come on people. I can’t believe over 2000 comments and so many people see this going on and nobody is reporting it? I’d be on my phone immediately.

We're old enough to remember when Jonathan Chait made fun of a foster mom raising nine kids saying she bought 12 gallons of milk a week. "12 gallons of milk a week may sound like a lot, but they've actually had to cut out their milk baths on alternate days," he snarked. Where's Chait when you need him?
I actually saw this happening at an Aldi just in the past week.
